Big Jim's Auto Body was founded by the original Big Jim back in 1960, and it has been Beverly's local collision repair hub ever since. The shop sits at 25 Creek St, just off Rantoul Street and Route 62, and it has stayed family owned and operated the whole way through.

The name on the door comes with a promise the shop still repeats on every service page: “Not perfect, but damn close.” It is not a slogan dreamed up for a sign. It is how the crew talks about a finished panel, a straightened frame, or a car that comes back looking the way it did before the accident.

That standard is part of why the North Shore voted Big Jim's “Best of the Best” every year from 2006 through 2015. Ten years running is not one good year. It is a decade of customers deciding, over and over, that this was still the shop worth trusting with the car.

Jamie runs the shop today, and the reviews describe him the same way, year after year: he is the one who calls with what he found on the car, quotes the price before any work starts, and follows up once the keys are back in your hand.
